Some facts about "There is always hope..."

CURRENT LAYOUT:
The current layout features a promo shot of Ben Foster as Angel (Warren Worthington III) in the upcoming movie X-Men3: The Last Stand. I'm a bit X3 obsessed at the moment ^^. Fonts used are Times New Roman (navigation) and Aquiline (title).

TOOLS:
I usually use Adobe Photoshop for my artworks. For animations I use Jasc Animation Shop.

WHY?
Errr... good question... I started playing around with Adobe Photoshop at the computer of my brother. My brother didn't have a wallpaper on his desktop and I found it quite boring, but he wouldn't let me change it. So... every time my brother was gone for a few days I put a wallpaper on the desktop. Hihi... and the wallpapers got more and more...

I also started making wallpapers of Buffy and Angel at the SlayerBoard (now TV-and-more.com). There were others, who already had a website and I thought "Why not... "

Okay... this story isn't very exiting, but it's basicly what happened...

Later I added some textures for you to use and even some icons.

THE NAME:
"There is always hope..." Okay... this story is quite funny... because... actually... it's the wrong name... or it WAS the wrong name...

I don't remember exactly how the phrase got into my head, but I still now that I thought it was Arwen who said it... Arwen? Huh? What is she talkin' about? Alright... I thought Arwen is saying "There is always hope..." when Elrond tells her that she is supposed to go to Valinor and that there is no hope for her and Aragorn. (LotR - The Two Towers). I thought a quote by Arwen would be an nice name for a site. But it wasn't her qoute... in fact she says "There is STILL hope..."

Now I was thinking "Where did There is always hope... come from? If it wasn't Arwen...". After a while I found the qoute. Aragorn says it (also in LotR - The Two Towers) to Háleth, son of Háma before the battle at Helms Deep:

[Overview of Helm's Deep being prepared for action. Pan to Aragorn, who is sitting alone on the stairs outside, watching the preparations. He sees a confused looking boy with a sword.]

Aragorn:
Give me your sword. What is your name?

Háleth:
Háleth, son of Háma, my lord. The men are saying that we will not live out the night. They say that it is hopeless.

[Aragorn stands up and wields the sword.]

Aragorn:
This is a good sword, Háleth, son of Háma. There is always hope.

I didn't change the name to fit Arwens qoute, although at that time I thought a qoute by Arwen would be cooler... I kept it because it's true... There is ALWAYS hope... I think I'm a very hopeful person and so the name fits me and my site quite well...
